this is a household saying in my apartment.  it started when i taught my roommates how to use the cable/tv/dvd player.  instead of just turning on the tv for them, i taught them the ways so that they too would be able to eat for a lifetime, if you will.

tonight ruth returned the favor and taught me how to fish.  meaning she helped me use her sewing machine.  that's right, i got crafty.

during my project, ruth heard a lot of these exclaimations:

"oh no....oh no"

"oh no....oh wait, nevermind, it's fine."

"RUUUUTH!"

"oh no"

but the project is complete and i couldn't be happier with the outcome.  hot lulus!  

basically a little bag of joy that you can heat up in the microwave.  alissa was kind enough to share some fresh lavender.  

you better believe it - i'm crafty.  this may be the beginning of a nifty little diy craft blog {not}.

bring it, winter.  i've got my hot lulu to keep me warm.
